At Belmont County Animal Shelter our mission is to save the lives of stray abandoned animals in our care, reunite lost pets with their owners, protect people and pets in our community from health-related issues and ensure the public’s safety.
Please note: In order to be approved for adoption, all animals in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on core vaccines. We will verify this information with your vet.

For those who recall Jasmine, she is now known as Echo and is thriving in her new life. Echo is deaf, and her dedicated owner has been diligently teaching her hand signals, which she is mastering remarkably well.

Meet Alfie. Alfie came to the shelter at just 6-months-old and is now almost 2-years-old. Alfie does NOT get along with cats and seems to be a little selective with dogs. But we have had him interact with other dogs and he did very well. Alfie may take a couple of meet and greets because he only knows us and the shelter life.
