OUR MISSION

At Belmont County Animal Shelter our mission is to save the lives of stray abandoned animals in our care, reunite lost pets with their owners, protect people and pets in our community from health-related issues and ensure the public’s safety.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are key in uniting homeless shelter pets with loving families, which is both exciting and rewarding. Volunteers make a difference!

Dog of the month!

Champ_edited.jpg

Champ has had a rough go. He first came to the shelter back in February of 2021. He was adopted in October of 2022. After being loose and brought to the shelter twice, the owner was tired of him escaping, and said for us to keep him in July of 2023. So here he waits again for someone to give him a chance. Champ loves people and loves to play and go for walks. He would be perfect for an active family. He is housetrained and walks fairly well on a leash.  As with most shelter dogs, he will need training in basic manners, but he is super smart and would learn quickly.

ADOPT AND SAVE A LIFE

Cat of the month!

Tooney.jpg

Meet Tooney.  He is about 11 years old but still full of spunk.  He had ear infections that weren't taken care of so his ears lay more flat making him the cutest boy in the room.  Please consider adopting Tooney!
